Special Conditions: Position available only for residents in Maputo
Remuneration: 10,000.00 MZN (Gross monthly Income)
SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES (NOT COMPLETE):
Mission 1: Mozambican legislation in term of environmental
- Review the Mozambican legislation in term of environmental, analyze it and suggest action to be in line with it.
Mission 2: Infrastructure waste management (Office and GH)
- According to the identification of our volumes and categories of waste by office and GH, map the recycling channels present in the areas of intervention during site visits;
- Carry out assessments during visits;
- Identify the hazardous waste management channels;
- Development of the collection process in bases, towards the recycling channels;
- Initiate contracts with the recycling and waste management sectors, and framework recycling contracts;
- Collect/capitalize program expectations on waste (written report to be relayed on coordination and headquarters).
Mission 3: Reporting & Accountability
- Collect data and indicator tracking table (KPIs);
- Ensure internal communication on the results obtained at the level of the mission and headquarters;
- Capitalization report.
SKILLS REQUIRED
Preferred diploma / level of studies:
Of 3 years studies in on of this area BSc in Environmental Science, waste management or Supply Chain Management / Logistics.
Required Skills:
- Minimum of 2 years’ extensive experience in Environmental or waste management project or supply chain / logistics , preferably in Humanitarian or development work;
- Working knowledge of the Federal, State or local environmental and waste regulations;
- Excellent attention to detail, highly organized, rigorous, self-motivated, strong sense of responsibility, ability to work independently;
- Expert User of Microsoft Office Suite 2016 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook);
- Ability to manage and follow work plans;
- Strong verbal, written and communication skills;
- Ability to maintain confidentiality;
- Ability to work effectively in diverse, cross-cultural teams in a complex, multi-site work environment;
- Proficiency in English is an advantage;
- Good interpersonal skills – approachable, diplomatic, able to negotiate, influence, give and receive effective feedback, be a team player.
