Full-time Training Assistant

International NGO Safety Organisation (INSO) is recruiting a Training Assistant for Pemba.
Purpose of Role:
- The Training Assistant will contribute to the planning, organization, delivery, and evaluation of high-quality training and providing support to the Training Manager design and development of courses, to assist both national and international NGOs in organizational safety and crisis management, as well as personal risk mitigation and humanitarian access.
Major Responsibilities:
Administrative management of the Department:
- Ensure internal and external communication (email, phone) of the Training Team on all issues related to administration, logistics, finance, and procurement of training sessions;
- Prepare the training calendar and send invitations;
- Properly store and inventory training supplies and equipment;
- Ensure the follow-up and archiving of the Team’s documentation (soft and hard copies);
- Suggest improvements for efficient administrative management;
Assist in the implementation of training:
- Assist in the preparation of the necessary material for the delivery of the training sessions;
- Contribute to the development of visuals / PowerPoint under the supervision of trainers;
- Assist trainers during the delivery, including the logistical coordination;
Participant Management:
- Create signup and evaluation forms using Forms;
- Follow up on registrations (compile, organize and track applications);
- Prepare attendance lists;
- Maintain the database of participants;
Quality monitoring of training:
- Participate in the collection of information from INSO partners on the quality and impact of training (correction and compilation of pre- and post-tests, implementation, and processing of the online survey two months after each training, collection of testimonials from participants);
- Ensure the compilation and recording of impact and quality data;
- Contribute to the drafting of the session reports.
Requirements:
- Graduate level education in a relevant field or equivalent work experience;
- Excellent English and Portuguese language skills, both written and verbal;
- Excellent computer skills: Microsoft Office including Power Point and Excel;
- A minimum of 3 years in administrative or event planning positions;
- Commitment to humanitarian principles and values;
- Ability to excel in a multicultural work environment;
- Excellent oral expression;
- First Aid qualifications;
- Mastery of other national languages, particularly those spoken in Cabo Delgado;
- Personal Attributes Confidentiality, integrity, and a sense of conflict-of-interest prevention;
- Team spirit and good management of interpersonal relationships;
- Know how to plan and organize your work;
- Be flexible, dynamic, know how to propose initiatives;
- Effective communicator;
- Capacity to work in multicultural environments.

Terms and Conditions:
- 12 months renewable contract subject to funding and performance. Salary based on INSO grading scale.
